THE ART COLLECTION

The art collection originated from the private collection of the Institute's founder and today contains approximately 1,500 works by artists primarily from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region and Europe. The collection includes works in painting, sculpture, graphic art, drawing, photography, and new media, featuring representative achievements by artists such as Mersad Berber, Špiro Bocarić, Vojo Dimitrijević, Emir Dragulj, Seid Hasanefendić, Dževad Hozo, Gabrijel Jurkić, Alija Kučukalić, Hakija Kulenović, Ibrahim Ljubović, Ivan Meštrović, Ismet Mujezinović, Edin Numankadić, Affan Ramić, Ismet Rizvić, Franco Leo Rubens, Iva Despić Simonović, Petar Šain, Rizah Štetić, Halil Tikveša, Mehmed Zaimović, Safet Zec, and others. Through permanent and occasional gallery exhibitions, the collection offers insight into the artistic achievements of Bosnian-Herzegovinian fine art from the 20th and early 21st centuries.
