For which age groups is the visit recommended?

The exhibitions at the Institute are suitable for all age groups. Each space or exhibition offers something special and interesting for different ages. Our guides and curators make visits especially engaging for even the youngest visitors through various stories, anecdotes, and prepared interactive tours.

Does the visit need to be scheduled in advance?

Visits with a guide or curator should be scheduled in advance.

How long does the average tour last?

The average tour lasts one hour. Visitors are welcome to explore the exhibitions on their own for as long as they wish!

What if we don't want a guided tour?

Visitors can explore the Institute's exhibitions without a guide. All exhibitions have accompanying legends, catalogs, posters, or printed informational texts that make them easier to understand and navigate.

If you plan a visit with a group without a guide, it is still advisable to announce the visit in advance to align with any possible public programs at the Institute that might be happening at the same time.

Is photography allowed at the Institute?

Photography and filming are allowed for personal use.

Are the exhibitions and displays accessible for people with disabilities?

People with disabilities have access to ramps and elevators in the Gazi Husrev-bey’s Hammam and the main building, as well as to exhibitions on different floors. For blind and visually impaired individuals, we provide adapted audio guides in Bosnian. For deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, we offer written and printed materials for all exhibitions.
