Ismet Rizvić Legacy

In 2008, the Art Collection of the Bosniak Institute – Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation was enriched by a remarkable collection of works by Ismet Rizvić, one of the most prominent Bosnian-Herzegovinian watercolorists. This addition came through the generous donation of Mrs. Mubera Rizvić, who gifted 47 watercolors and 3 pastels from her late husband's artistic legacy to the Institute. Today, the permanent exhibition of these works stands as a testament to the high achievements of domestic watercolor art.

“This gallery space is dedicated to the works of the late Ismet Rizvić, a sentimental and delicate painter of shadows and artistic reveries, a world of wondrous skies and the magic of light, imagination, and play. Through the generosity and kindness of his wife, Mrs. Mubera, the Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo received this exceptionally valuable watercolor collection of Ismet's works. These have enhanced the cultural and artistic appeal of the interior of what could be described as a temple of culture and art.

Mr. Adil Zulfikarpašić was pleased and fully committed to opening the doors of his Institute, assigning a special room to this collection and giving its presentation a unique treatment. Visitors to this space of spirituality and culture now have the opportunity to experience, in this hall adorned with Ismet Rizvić's works like watercolor jewels, moments of the most delicate artistic intimacy, fluidity, and deeply noble feelings for the world to which he belonged. Ismet Rizvić, an inspired watercolorist, remains etched in our memories as a friend, a dear fellow citizen, and an artist of enduring legacy.”
