LIBRARY
The Library of the Bosniak Institute is unique in its origin, structure, and content. It contains more than 300,000 library units (manuscripts, books, magazines, newspapers, offprints, historical and geographical maps, atlases, encyclopedias, etc.) in the field of social and humanities sciences, with the oldest manuscript dating back to the 14th century, continuing through to modern scientific and professional works from the 20th and 21st centuries. It developed gradually, from the private library of Adil and Tatjana Zulfikarpašić to the present collection, spanning over five decades. The library is divided into various departments and collections: Bosnika, Kroatika, Serbika, Islamica, Turkika, Medieval Bosnia, Judaica, Sandžak, Emigrantica, and a collection dedicated to the wars in the former Yugoslavia from 1991 to 1999.
